My blind 6 month old kitten needed a huge litter box. His happiness revolves around his litter boxes. Well, this is itself! He rolls around in his clean litter ,and of course , uses it as a litter box. His old ,so-called jumbo litter box was seeming too small to serve his varied needs since he's built long through his back and is well into adolescence. He's gonna be a handful next few months until he's old enough for neutering. The flat rim of this tub provides him a great foothold to climb up into the tub. He's quite a climber. He fell in love with this 40 gallon tub. Later, I'll consider adding steps in/out of it, or something creative for easy access. Am keeping his old jumbo cat litter boxes for his future post-surgeries recovery phases. .... Meantime, this 40 gallon black tub is my solution to not being able to find huge litter boxes. I searched all big box stores online and found no plastic storage trays nor boxes big as I needed. Ikea and Lowe's were disappointing. This tub arrived days ahead of projected delivery date following the brutal weather system going into Christmas 2022. It arrived via FedEx home delivery. It didn't arrive in any carton nor wrapper. Yeah, it was dusty, but in great condition. Just a wipedown with a damp terrycloth did the trick. The reviewer who said "buy it! For whatever your need is" was pretty much spot-on. It's heavy, but not too heavy.
